You can also link them to a computer and send short messages to a remote radio over Fleetsync or a pre-defined message using the buttons on the front panel to a specific station or all stations (All Call). All from using DTMF signaling from a remote station. Remote Honk Alert with confirmation tone, Remote disable/enable TX, and Radio disable/enable with confirmation tone. The radio also has scan support and this works with LTR and conventional channels. When using a MR-47X with a KCT-72 adaptor, You will need to do a firmware update to the radio using the JKCA170 firmware update from Kenwood. Programming will need to be set to "control head mic input" "KCT-72"using a MR-47X with a KCT-72 adaptor. This will work with up to 3 transceivers connected to the head and RX Audio will be available through the MR-47X to the intercom. If using the Kenwood KCT-72 adaptor for the MR-47X to plug into, it will disable the hand mic from working unless the firmware update is done.
